Dare to Bare!!

Erotic Shaving: Going completely Bare, Down There.

I was talking to my friend Nick from DallasNovelty.com and he asked me to write up a little something about shaving miss kitty. Some people consider it kinky, others consider it a fetish, but no matter what you think about it, one thing for sure is that it’s hot! I’ve received a number of emails from people who spend time reading my journal, asking me about erotic shaving and the best ways to completely remove your pubic hair, so I thought I’d try and offer some tips and suggestions for those women who might like to indulge themselves in this sensual pleasure.

Many of the emails and letters that I receive are from women of all ages who have been asked by their guy to, as one woman put it, “completely shave her private areas”, and they’re in need of some advice on how to do it right and how to get both the smooth appearance and sexy feel both partners are looking for. Believe it or not, there is a wrong way to shave your hoohah!

I’ve been shaving my Vagina since I was 17 years old after I saw a porn magazine with a photo spread of women who had their vaginas completely shaved off! I was of the thinking that this is what men wanted in their women. I fell in love with the images and decided at that moment that I wanted to see what that would look and feel like. In school I always heard boys talking about a shaved beaver and little did they know, I knew what they were talking about. After 20 years of shaving miss kitty, I do not regret to start the task of shaving!

Women who shave seem to enjoy quite a large fan base, with entire categories of pornography dedicated to the topic. A shaved vagina seems to touch something deep in our erotic imaginations, and in recent years, many women have discovered heightened sexual enjoyment after going completely bare. As one of my long-time girlfriends puts it (who is also shaved bare), she’s never found a man who wasn’t hard all night in the presence of a shaved woman. It’s that much of a turn on.

When you go completely bare your entire vagina becomes receptive to sexual stimulation. You feel every flick of the tongue, every kiss, every stroke, every touch with exhilarating clarity. Your nerve endings become so sensitive to stimulation that some women can become close to orgasm just by wearing the right kind of underwear! From my own experience, being shaved adds an amazing erotic charge to sex – those delicious slick feelings of wetness while you’re having sex are amazing, and the sensations during oral sex of having a tongue, mouth, and lips all over your smooth skin are enough to drive you into orgasmic overload. You can feel everything. The first time I had sex after I had shaved miss kitty I thought I was in another world, it makes that much of a difference; so, here are some of my tips and tricks for going and staying hairless!

There are a number of salons who offer a bikini wax, up to and including complete removal of all hair from the pubic and anal area. A ‘Brazilian Wax’ job will remove all hair front and back, including up around your anus, perineum, and labia; though some Brazilian Waxes will leave a trail of hair on the vulva, sometimes called a ‘landing strip’. My preference is to go completely bare to really turn my man on!!

There is of course pain involved with a Brazilian Wax, but the results are very nice. A Brazilian removes the hair right down to the follicles and usually lasts about two to three weeks without any additional maintenance. A good idea might be to get waxed for the initial removal, but then you can switch to shaving for upkeep. If you do decide to have a professional give you a Brazilian Wax, make sure that they’ve done it before! Ask how many they do per week and how long they’ve been doing it! You don’t want someone experimenting on you if it’s their first time too! Prices from a reputable salon can range anywhere from $45 to $60 dollars plus tip.

If you’re going to shave yourself here are some tips to help you along. Depending on how your pubic hair grows, (mine tends to be longer and flatter hair rather

than tight curls), you’re going to want to remove as much of the hair as you can with a sharp pair of scissors. Try to clear away as much of your bush as possible so you’re only left with stubble.

I then suggest taking a hot shower to help raise the hair follicles to the surface, this will also make shaving a lot easier. If you want to watch someone else shave so you know how to do it then you can always buy the Dare to Bare DVD to see shaving in action.

Believe it or not, men’s shaving products tend to work better than what’s marketed to women, and if you’re going to do this, don’t skimp on your tools. I suggest using a good thick gel based shaving cream with aloe vera or another good skin conditioner. Two great products available through Dallas Novelty are Coochy Rash Free Shave Cream for Women or Intimo Kitty and Total Body Shave Kreme for Women. These products are made for shaving intimate areas of your body, and they come highly recommended! Choosing the right razor is also very important. I recommend the Gillette M3 Power Razor. The head vibrates which causes the follicles to rise so you get a close shave, and the triple blades with an aloe strip feels very good on your skin. Gillette also markets a female version called the Venue Vibrance, but I’ve found the shape of the M3 to be better at getting in between those delicate girlparts!

When you start to shave, I recommend going with the grain, not against it. Shave in the direction your hair grows. You may have to go over the same spot two or three times, but that’s okay. It’s better than irritating your skin and giving yourself painful red bumps and razor burn. Also, with the power razor, you do not have to apply much pressure on your skin which will help avoid ingrown hairs and razor burns. The idea is to be smooth, not just hairless.

When you’re all done pat dry yourself off with a towel, and what I usually do is apply a dusting of pure cornstarch over my skin and then wipe away the excess with a towel. There is some concern with there being a connection between certain types of cancer and baby powder so please only use cornstarch. It will leave you feeling as smooth as the day you were born!

I don’t recommend using depilatory creams on any regular basis. Things like Nair are fine for doing your bikini line but they can be irritating to your skin over time. Electric razors are fine if you want to go that route, but I prefer a blade. I think it gives a closer shave. When I am done shaving I prefer to use Coochy After Shave Protection Mist to replenish some of the moisture to the skin around miss kitty.

This can also be an awesome activity for you and your partner to share! I often will ask my husband to give me a trim when I’m in need. We spread the towel out on the bed and he becomes my groomer! It’s an erotic activity which turns us both on, and he’s able to make sure that all of the hair is gone, front and back. I think many couples might enjoy this mutual activity if you’re both careful, after all, having something sharp that close to your pussy can make a girl a little nervous if she doesn’t trust her barber!

Another fun thing to do is to create stencils or patterns in a section of your pubic hair using Jenna’s Hot Personal Trimmer. The kit includes 10 reusable bikini hair designs that include heart, lightning bolt, triangle, chili pepper, arrow, check mark, X, tear drop and Jenna's Signature V shape, Comb, cleaning brush and travel pouch. With the cut-outs you can make a unique design all your own, and it will be something your guy (or girl) will absolutely love!

Aside from the sexual and erotic aspects of shaving your pussy, there’s also the beauty aspect. You were born a woman, and you were given a beautiful flower… show it off and be proud!

Happy Shaving!
